China - Fujian - Xiamen

Xiamen is actually an island city located in Fujian Province. It is about 120 sq Km. It is rated the cleanest city in China, or one of the cleanest I think. Its temperature can go up to 37 degree celsius in summer and 2-3 degree celsius in the winter. It rarely snows. Vehicles are not allowed to honk, I think partly because it wants to maintain a good image of a tourist attraction. It has many scenic spots. Jimei district is just very near it and it is the home town of Mr Tan Kah Kee. In Jimei, there is a whole village of schools......from the most junior schools to university.

Picture 3 - Hu Li Shan Pao Tai - The largest ancient cannon in the world. It has a firing range of 6.4Km. It is considered a feat in the past, I think it is about 120 years ago. (not too sure).
